Stoa Pihad is a human ranger. From a young age, he falt drawn to nature, paying close attention to the plants and animals in the forest around him. As he grew older, he took to hunting and foraging as a way to make ends meet.
Traveling from town to town across the region in his early adulthood, at the age of 31, Stoa met a woman drawn to his rugged mystique, married, and began spending more time in the city. But even after his wife became pregnant and gave birth, Pihad still felt drawn to wilderness. This may have been too much for her, because after a lengthy hunting expedition, when Pihad returned home to bring his child a beautiful necklace he'd found on his journeys for a birthday present, he found his home empty.
The ranger felt betrayed. Swearing off domestic life, Pihad returned back to the wilds, travelling again with no destination in mind, keeping the necklace with him as a reminder of what could have been.
